Road access and parking are easy, though the drive in up North Road goes past the asbestos mine and some abandoned trailers, so not so scenic. A bit like heading to a horror movie if you are alone and there is no one else at trailhead. Trail is very pretty though, and you don't see the mine from there. |

No major issues. The larger stream just after you start up the Forrester trail, about .6 miles in was a rock hop which required some attention, but not bad. Smaller streams are step overs. |

 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trail is well blazed and not hard to follow. No major blow downs. Seems lightly used. It is, however, extremely wet at times, all the way up to the summit spur. It got annoying. A little more drainage might help. |

I found one pair of glasses low on Frank Post; I hung them on the sign at the trailhead. |

Nice hike. I was the only one on Forrester trail, saw one other person on the summit and a small group heading up from Belvidere saddle. The summit is nice, with a tall fire tower and decent views, which would likely have been even better on a more clear day. I only went part way up the tower; steps on upper sections were icy. The trail is nice, quite pretty with varied tree types as you ascend. Quite gentle for a long while, then steep switchbacks up the summit cone. |
