Comments
Comments: This route is a relatively quick and easy way to climb Camel's Hump. The Burrows Trail is easy at first, then moderate. The short section of Long Trail to the summit has a few rock scrambles, but nothing difficult. Actually the hike seemed somewhat strenuous today, due to the warm temperatures and high humidity. That's my excuse, anyway. Trail was wet due to recent rains. For a while, I was able to keep my feet dry by walking on rocks, but the upper part of the Burrows Trail was a stream bed, and the hut clearing had a nice mud pit to go through. So I ended up with wet feet, but really not bad considering the amount of rain. The summit of Camel's Hump is beautiful. Wide open, interesting rock formations and alpine vegetation, and great views in all directions.
