 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Came in from Waterville Valley and Tripoli Road is in much worse shape than I recall. Paved section has many deep potholes. Probably okay with low clearance vehicle, but would require caution. Went out via Woodstock. Much better condition in that direction; gravel section there is in good condition and I think it be a better approach for a low clearance vehicle. |

|
 | Water Crossing Notes: |
No problems today, but easy to see how this crossing would be more challenging in high water. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Generally good shape. A few areas on steeper sections have eroded and user paths around them are developing. |

 | Dog-Related Notes: |
|
|
 | Bugs: |
None. I did not encounter any of the ground nesting wasps/hornets mentioned in prior reports. |

 | Comments: |
Beautiful cool, almost fall like, day with terrific views. Walked over to ski area. A couple guys were up working on top of the cell phone tower with music blasting and them singing along - a different type of wildlife. Views from Sosman trail were definitely worth the out and back. The outlook mentioned in the WMG by the third hump of the west summit is quite limited now and the path, while easily discerned, is quite “brushy”. |
