 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Walter Newton Natural Area parking lot on Cummings Hill Road was pretty full just after noon - cars parked down road - we were able to find parking along the road which was close |
|
 | Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock |

 | Recommended Equipment: |

|
 | Water Crossing Notes: |
bog bridges were a bit slippery after overnight rains. Crossing on river at top of falls always a bit of a challenge to find rocks where you don't slip. Then, once at top of falls, there are a couple crux moves where if you are not careful, you could fall down falls - seems unlikely but I'm sure it could happen!!! |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
very large blowdown of a couple trees at start of Newton Trail - easy enough to stepover but some people go right and expand the trail |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
lots of dogs and heard some howling after we passed some dogs - all dogs were on leashes |
|
 | Bugs: |
none - yay! Love this time of year! |
