Comments
Comments: Bare booted with few issues from parking lot to Zeta Pass. Put the spikes on for Carter Dome and kept them on until the snow disappeared in Imp. The monorail is stable in places, but pretty unpredictable. I didn't start to punch through down to the running water below the crust until N Carter - just be careful and watch your step, as I sunk down to my knee in places. Snowshoes would probably not have helped, as the alternating bare rock/snow would have made it a frustrating exercise. Typical spring mixed bag. The rain didn't help, but Carters are Gridded.
