Comments
Comments: Bare boots all the way out to owls head path to nearly the top of the slide. See water crossings notes above. The ice flows started when the slide narrows down and goes back into the trees. Spikes were absolutely necessary at that point all the way up to the summit (someone behind us didn't bring his and had to turn around after hiking over 7 miles out to that point and being less than a mile away from the summit. I'm sure he learned a lesson today) There was a firm monorail from the big rock at the top of Brutis BW all the way to the summit. We took our spikes off near the bottom of the steeps on Brutis BW
