Crossings were flowing healthfully. I woe waterproof socks and walked through the water past Zealand Falls and Black Brook |

Several blowdowns north of Zealand hut on the way to Zealand. Those are step unders. I think I counted at least 10 blowdowns coming down Bondcliff Trail and into Lincoln Woods. Many step overs or climb overs |

The trail was bare, coming up Zeeland Road and most of the way up to Zealand hut, save for a few spots that still have snow at very low elevation. If you can make it through these little spots in your bare boots, you should not have to put your spikes on until well north of the hut. All water crossings were flowing very healthfully today, we definitely got wet feet on almost all of them. Most rocks were submerged. The monorail was still mostly stable for the 24ish miles, but definitely deteriorating significantly in enough spots, either getting very thin or just breaking through altogether. Lots of mashed potato snow. Lots of spikes on, spikes off. The peaks are all bare and it is bare almost 100% above tree line. Coming down Bondcliff esp we took the spikes off and put them on many times, until finally getting down to about 2000 feet where the trail was finally again bare. Lots of mud at that point and as I mentioned above many many blow downs coming out of Lincoln woods. If you choose hike it just be prepared for slow going, tedious conditions! Aka FUN
