Comments
Comments: Ladies and Gentlemen…let the road openings BEGIN!
Sometime between 8:20am (when we did our second road walk after leaving our microspikes in the car ???????) to this afternoon, the gate for the Ravine Gorge Lodge parking opened! Conditions were much better than anticipated, with a (mostly) stable monorail after 3500, and bare rock from the orange Alpine Vegetation sign to the summit. Water crossings all rock hopable, spikes and high spirits the only tools you need ???? With the amount of traffic Moose had today as well as the warmer temps I anticipate spikes won’t be necessary past the end of May!

*Shout out to alll the wonderful hikers we chatted with today, to include Molly Fredyma, Vicki Perault Haggett, Hiker Ed, BlueCollarHiker, JiminyCricket with his lovely friends, and SO MANY TRAIL DOGGOS. Thanks for making my 12th visit to the Moose so special!
