Trail Maintenance Notes: There is one blowdown on the Lonesome Lake Trail about a tenth of a mile or so past the junction with Cascade Brook Trail. Depending on how tall you are, you might have to remove your pack. One of he big bridges on that same stretch is fully broken.

Bugs: None, yet.  
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: There was a pair of women’s shoes and socks in one of the parking spaces. Left them there in case the owner returns.  
 
Comments
Comments: Fairly dry trail up until around 2700 feet. After that, you’re going to want spikes for the best traction. It starts off as patchy ice and then becomes more consistent. There is elevated monorail for much of the trip around the lake with areas of fairly deep snow (1 foot or more in spots… and yes, this was tested, unfortunately).

A number of folks did not have traction, but were moving slowly with caution, especially on the descent. It was much easier done with spikes.
