Comments
Comments: Mountain Mummy posted last night, and her description of trail conditions is exactly right. I will only add here that I descended from Madison on Watson Path, which was a mistake: at higher elevations, once off the rocks, it's not broken out, and the snow conditions are very unstable right now. Spikes helped, but on/off, on/off, repeat. Tough, and slow going, and the snowshoes I carried wouldn't have helped. Best option was Valley Way, but (as Mountain Mummy said) monorails there are also unstable.
