Only 4 other vehicles upon arrival, the lot seems bigger now with snow cover. There still is big rut getting to the lot on the dirt road. Take it slow getting in and out. |

Six degree start but the promise of sunshine and no wind made this a great choice. Nice steady trek to the ridge, good snowy conditions to even out a lot of the trail. Wore spikes start to finish. I love these trail conditions, the rock scrambles along the ridge are so much more fun with snow . Fun crossing paths with a few familiar faces and happy to hike out with 4K working on her grid too. Noticed people enjoying some early runs down cannon’s front 5 on our way to the hike and I hear Wildcat is open for skiing too now over in the eastern whites. Winter is just around the corner! |
