Started on snowshoes from the C lot at the ski area. Some new signage nearby stating that the trails are only open 8:30-4:30 and that a ticket is required for use. I went in the opposite direction of the sign and had no issues. Wildcat Ridge Trail had spring snow - soft, a bit choppy in places, but otherwise pretty smooth sailing, aside from lots of branches in the chest. Found a very nice view ledge near the summit of C peak a short bushwhack from the trail. Snowshoes a must, especially as the 4-8' of snowpack softens up. |
