no issues - glad there were some exposed rocks on the last summit push as i had no traction and was in snowboard boots |

This ski area is an absolute blast without the lifts operating (when they are operating, it is one of my least favorite areas). Fun to always find a different route to skin up. Snow is going fast - I had to walk a couple stretches - I was thinking I would be able to ride the entire thing - NOT SO!!!! Saw 3 other skiers who went to the Shwendi Hutttttttt. Skinning along the ridge is always a bit sketchy on the middle bump - managed only a bit of back-sliding. Perfect late afternoon descent following the sun and the corn snow. :)
Descended mostly under the high speed lift - best snow under that. |
