Comments
Comments: Traversed the Osceolas from Greeley Pond Tr to Tripoli Rd to Livermore parking lot. Stream crossing got our attention, but we were able to find a spot to rockhop and keep our feet dry. Barebooted almost to the viewpoint, then spikes to E Osceola, onward as far as the chimney. We took the chimney bypass, bare rock. Spikes off for chimney and rest of the way to Osceola and down the other side for half mile. Still a lot of snow on Osceola, but consolidated for the first half mile of our descent. Spikes back on for the next mile, significant ice/snow alternating with bare ground. Barebooted bottom mile+ of Mt. Osceola Trail, lots of water in the trail. Tripoli Rd bare ground, a quick walk to Livermore parking lot. We love traversing these peaks to avoid descending the steeps from E Osceola. Great! except for the sizeable car spot. Only met 2 hikers all day.
